Dad's 40th and Mass

Well, in ya'll didn't know, the 28th was Dad's 40th birthday. (OOooo... big 4-0) Anyways, we went to the Los 3 Amigos to celebrate and Mimi and I got my Dad the exact same card. Lol... The card had like 10 different ways to say someone's turning 40 on the front and inside it says something like "I'd go on, but you probably want to kill me by now. Happy Birthday" It was a good birthday and Dad definitely does NOT look his age.

Yesterday was Ash Wednesday. I don't know it everyone knows, but I attend a catholic college. I'm not Catholic, or any denomination for that matter, but one my friends invited me to mass. So yesterday was my first time as mass... ever. It was extrememly crowded, but the service wasn't bad at all. I had my friend Anne right next to me so that I ask her about anything that I didn't understand. Oh, and I even talked D-dog into coming with me too. >^.^< I'm also thinking about participating in Lent this year. So far I haven't had any red meat or chocolate... so I'm thinking about giving up one or both.

lol... so far I manage to stay away from red meat. What sucks though is that there's a big thing of BEEF and broc. in the fridge... and I can't eat it. but there is plenty of chicken. >^.^<

Hey,
I'd like to thank you and D-dog for taking my Johari thing. I wasn't sure of your intentions at first, but I see that you were honest.
As for Diamond-Dog, I find it odd that you could pick up all of those traits from me with the few times we've spoken, but they seem to fit me well.

Also Lynne, about your dad. Right now I'm working on a construction crew that is re-modeling the Wal-mart around here and I met this guy named Robert who is you dad's twin. I swear he's just like him. The only difference is that he's a little taller. Other than that he listens to the same music, his favorite 80's band being Whitesnake. He even does that measuring thing that Steve does.
Anyway, I just thought I'd let you know that. It's like I'm meeting your dad all over again. Very weird.

....werid.... although my dad's fav. band isn't whitesnake, though he does like them. And you should take my response to your Nohari with a grain of salt.

Anyways, I think I'll pay Pegy a visit and give her the beef and broc. That is the purpose of Lent after all, to be realise how fortunate we are and to be more understanding and helpful to those with less.

I know that his favorite wasn't Whitesnake but I remember you guys playing that tape a lot. I think his favorite was Police wasn't it? Anyway, tell you what, I won't even look at my Nohari page. Hopefully I can show myself as a different person after all these years.
